We return to Lupton House, Brixham Road, Churston Ferrars where our Chairman will tell the life of Charles Dickens to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the authors birth. Following the talk we will tour the house and see what work has been carried out since our last visit. Refreshments will be available for purchase after the tour. Come and join us for our monthly 'Coffee Morning with a Difference'. We learn what has been happening locally, socialise over a coffee, enjoy a quiz and some 'mystery items' and listen to our Chairman giving a story about a Famous Devon Figure. Cost is £2.50 to include coffee and biscuits. Pay at the door, everyone welcome.

Our speaker will be Naomi Kent from the Parliamentary Outreach Team, Whitehall, London. Naomi will give us an insight into 'How Parliament Works' following her talk there will be an opportunity for questions. We know that you will find this a very interesting presentation. On 31st March 2012 the Rossiter family will be unveiling their Blue Plaque at The Original Factory Shop, previously Rossiters Store, on Palace Avenue. This special event commences at 10.30 am at the Palace Avenue Theatre where presentations will be made and refreshments served. Following this everyone is invited to walk to the store to witness the formal unveiling by the family and the Chairman of the Council.
