What do you get for being a member?

As a member of the Society you will receive a regular Newsletter which will tell you what is going on in Torbay and what projects we are involved with. It also includes our Forthcoming Events page together with a booking form so that you can plan to take part in events ranging from our regular Coffee Mornings with a Difference to talks and trips to places of interest. You can also put forward any of your own thoughts within the aims of the Society, in surveys and at open meetings we arrange.  Being a member also entitles you to a vote at our Annual General Meeting.
By belonging to the Society you have the ability to react with and make a difference in your local community.

Member Get a Member Shield

This scheme started in 2001 is the ‘Handford Trophy’ created and presented in memory of our Chairman’s father Harold R Handford.

The Member get a  Member  Shield is awarded each year at our Annual General Meeting to the member who has introduced the most new members during the past year.

As with all organisations, the greater the number of members we have the more we can do.  Please help our Member get a Member scheme by passing on the society details to a friend or colleague, who knows you might even be next years winner of the ‘Handford Torphy’.
